Hello my readers, It has been a long time no see you, particularly my regular readers hehehe. I apologize to all of the readers of this blog (in my data is around 1000 readers a day regularly), because of my hiatus, meaning that a pause or gap in a sequence, series, or process.
This is a consequence of my activity in the last a year, demanding me to pause blogger-related activities. However, my ‘real’ and writing activities in some media such as magazine and website is used to be, starting from writing to editing.
I realized that the last time I wrote was about a year ago, in beneath of tends in Sembalun Bumbung, Lombok Island, in which I wrote carefully because the aftershock happened frequently. The two previous articles were to tell about circumstance in refugee area in Lombok.
Afterwards, I came back to my activity as a writer. In the last year, I also had ended (concluded or ‘closed’) my magazine which I involved for a while (approximately 5 years). “Madrasah Alhikmah”, the title of my last article to close Alhikmah Magazine forever (or arguably, someday one who want to awaken this again).
Furthermore, in the last November 2018, I was no longer as a head of Digital Marketing ( responsible for providing contents, copywriting, design, poster, social media, and so fort) in a leading NGO in Indonesia, meaning that, as my intention to pursue Master degree, I decided to prepare, indeed, my preparation to attain my achievement.
Because of those, the ‘hiatus’ of this blog is inevitable. Therefore, the following activities afterwards were about learning, writing, reading, listening, speaking (all in English) to achieve the requested IELTS score.
Alhamdulillah, the bridge under the water, I had faced all of those, and nowadays, in this waiting time ( for scholarship, and so on), I have an opportunity again to write. I wish I could write as use to be, instead, as daily routine to write in this blog.
This blog, in this year, if I am not mistaken, is exactly 10 years old. In fact, I did not expect that my career, my life journey had spawned from this blog. I commenced writing whereby nowadays it can bring me even to travel around the world.
The extent to which I wrote in the initial years of this blog, you can see in so direct a manner in these provided articles. It was funny to see how the time changes me, how the experiences I gained changes me. It is often said that, the older you are, the wiser you should be.
I don’t know whether the time has altered me or not (let say that me just an immutable person). Surely, the given articles in this blog will exemplify that.
My 10 years experience in writing brings me to meet a new person everyday with various backgrounds, cultures, thoughts. This thousands of person, indeed, prompts me many things, one of which the writing style.
I got many input from those, regarding journalism, writing, reading, interaction, and so on. Thanks to all of you. I know, everyone has met me previously knew that I was very avoiding to interact each other by cyberspace, because it could be possible to reduce our quality time of our interaction in real life. However, meeting face-to-face lead us to gain a quality interaction, such as laughing together, discuss, and so on.
Indeed, don’t think that if we separate for a while in a far away, it means we cannot interact. Don’t we know that a person who prays secretly to their companions is the best relationship? Perhaps, we couldn’t meet physically, but we have a strong tie even to penetrate the sky because of our supplications.
I know, the advancement of technology today has changed many things, including how we behave each other.
In my opinion, there is always a place to interact directly without social media in the real life. Our dependency to technology excessively perhaps has altered us to the person without ‘ruh’ or spirit.
So that, Relish your life, write it and realize that every cloud has a silver lining. By this time, I will write again about hikmah, which I faced even in the simple things. I hope I could write frequently as usual previously. Welcome, welcome back to my self. Enjoy the dish of this blog.
